1 About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Puzzle Banana ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you or your child uses the Puzzle Banana mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about your child's data, please contact us at the address listed in Section 11.
2 Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the app. The type of data collected depends on how you sign in:
Guest Users (no account):
- A randomly generated device ID (used to maintain your progress on your device only)
- Puzzle progress, scores, stars, coins, and level data
Google Sign-In Users:
- Google account name and email address (provided by Google Sign-In)
- A unique player ID linked to your Google account
- Puzzle progress, scores, stars, coins, and level data (synced to our servers so you can restore progress on new devices)
- In-app purchase status (premium or free)
Automatically Collected Data:
- App usage events via Firebase Analytics (e.g., app launch, mode selected, puzzle completed). These events are anonymised and aggregated.
- Crash reports and performance data via Firebase Crashlytics
- Device type and operating system version (collected by Firebase, not by us directly)
3 How We Use Your Information
- To save and restore your puzzle progress, scores, and achievements across sessions and devices
- To calculate and display your level, coins, stars, and daily rewards
- To process and verify in-app purchases and grant premium access
- To send reward notifications (only if you grant notification permission)
- To improve the app through anonymised usage analytics
- To diagnose and fix technical issues using crash reports
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, sell your data to third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the app.
4 Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Puzzle Banana is designed for children and their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to function.
- Guest mode requires no personal information at all — only an anonymous device ID is used.
- Google Sign-In is optional and intended for use with parental supervision or by users aged 13 and older. If a parent signs their child in using a Google account, only the name, email, and game progress are stored.
- We do not display behavioural or targeted advertising to users identified as children.
- Parents or guardians may request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us (see Section 11).
5 Advertising
Puzzle Banana displays ads provided by Google AdMob to free (non-premium) users only.
- Banner ads appear on the main screen.
- Interstitial ads may appear when navigating between screens.
- Premium users see no ads whatsoever.
- Ads served to users in the Google Play Families programme are configured to show only family-safe, non-behavioural ads in compliance with Google's Families Ads Policy.
AdMob may collect an advertising ID and other device identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
6 Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) — app analytics and crash reporting
- Google AdMob — advertising for free users
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchase processing
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — optional reward and update notifications
We do not integrate any social media trackers, third-party analytics beyond Firebase, or data brokers.
7 Data Storage and Security
Game progress for signed-in users is stored on our secure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) and access-controlled databases. Guest progress is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
8 Data Retention and Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 11). Upon receipt of a verified deletion request:
- Your account and all associated game data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained.
9 Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to processing of your data

10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify users within the app.
